Assistance to local population and migrants
New professional kitchen equipment was purchased and installed. Five hundred meals will be prepared in the restored and newly equipped space for the local population, as well as migrants and refugees in transit.
In the Red Cross Sombor new soup kitchen was opened on 12 April 2016. New professional kitchen equipment was purchased and installed within the project “Stabilization of the health situation for migrants/refugees and the local population”. Five hundred meals will be prepared in the restored and newly equipped space for the local population, as well as migrants and refugees in transit.
Within the project implemented by Help in Sombor, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, 330.000,00 EUR worth activities were realized. Emergency Room of the Health Center Sombor was reconstructed, donated medical equipment and fully furnished medical vehicle, construction of the facility for the temporary accommodation of the migrants and refugees which in the long term will serve for the needs of the local population, like care for elderly and residence and education purposes of school children.
