Donor visit

End of January 2016, members of the cooperative “Mahala 1” established in Nis where visited by Help donor delegation – representatives of German institutions and organizations.

Within the project “Poverty reduction and employment opportunities enhancement of marginalized and vulnerable population groups in Serbia” Help supported establishment of nine Roma cooperatives counting 78 members, out of which 40 Roma.

In the period 2013-2015, 171 ( 55 Roma) beneficiaries were all supported with in-kind grants. Labour motivation workshops and networking events attended 824 individuals (655 Roma).
Business and vocational trainings attended 460 persons (181 Roma). Support to re-socialization of convicts component supported 126 persons with business and professional trainings, in addition to 16 in-kind grants for start-up businesses.

Psychosocial support to convicts and family members provided in cooperation with the NGO Centre for Human Rights Nis.
