Vlasotince
German Embassy in Belgrade donated 29.600 Euros of assistance to the flooded area in the Municipality of Vlasotince within the project implemented by the German humanitarian organization HELP – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. in December 2007.
The German Embassy in Belgrade through the implementing organization HELP – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. field office in Nis, sent the assistance to the endangered population of the Municipality of Vlasotince which was severely hit by the floods at the end of November in the south-east Serbia. The property of more than 1000 households in this municipality was seriously damaged.
Assistance consisting of 200 blankets, 1200 lit pasteurized milk, 800 lit cooking oil, 2000 cans of liver paste, 1600 cans of canned meat, over 3000 cans of ready made dishes, 1200 fish cans, 3200 kg washing powder, 800 lit shampoo, 2000 soap bars and 3200 rolls of toilet paper was distributed to the households in Vlasotince who suffered flood damage.
Two mud pumps of 1600lit/min capacity, also a part of this assistance, have already been delivered to the mobile teams of the Municipality.
Representative of the German Embassy in Belgrade, Mr. Karsten Geier and HELP Country Director Mr. Timo Stegelmann delivered humanitarian assistance to the endangered population of Vlasotince Municipality on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 in the premises of DP Podrumi, Marka Oreskovica bb Str., in Vlasotince. Certificate of donation was handed to the president of the municipality Mr. Srdan Šušulic.

HELP-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. participated in the International Entrepreneurship Fair for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises – Business Base held at the Belgrade Fair from 28th November until 1st December 2007.
HELP’s most successful clients supported within the projects implemented in Serbia exhibited in the stand within the section of Serbian Agency for Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship.
At the HELP’s stand during the four days of the fair visitors had opportunity to meet 17 start-ups and their products like decorative flowers and ornamental wood items, unique lady’s handbags, textile souvenirs and jewellery, agriculture products, enterier decoration services and many others.
