From October 31 until November 3 HELP Serbia held the third annual internal seminar, for its teams from Serbia and BiH. The aim of the seminar was presenting up-to-date project activities implemented in Serbia, BiH and Montenegro and future plans.
The first day of the seminar was dedicated to fulfillment of the main objective of the seminar, through the exchange of lessons learned and revision of socio-economic projects implemented by HELP Serbia and HELP BiH in 2006/2007.
Each office presented their project activities and participated in several workshops intended for the improvement of cooperation with local development partners and field work with clients.
The second day of the seminar was dedicated to local non governmental organizations. HELP has encouraged and supported establishment of such local structures in order to provide sustainability of its strategy and activities implemented in the field of economic development. Therefore, the legal framework for local NGO’s functioning, marketing issues and potential sources of financing were introduced and presented to the participants.
In the final presentation, Mr. Timo Stegelmann, HELP’s Country director, presented opportunities and possible directions for HELP’s operations in Serbia, BiH and Montenegro for the period of 2008/2009.
