On November 24th 2005, HELP-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. organized a press conference in Media Center for the finalization of the project “Poverty Reduction through Support to Star-up businesses and Socio-economic Integration of Refugees and IDPs”. The guest speakers at the press conference were:
- for HELP: Mr. Timo Stegelmann, Head of Mission.
-for the German Embassy: Mr. Michael Derus, Charge d' Affaires;
-for the Swiss Embassy: H.E. Mr. Wilhelm Meier, Ambassador;
-for the Netherlands Embassy: Ms. Mirjam Krijnen, Second Secretary
-for the British Embassy: Mr. David McIlroy, Deputy Head of Mission;
At the press conference HELP presented the results of the project and pointed out that it supported 1330 small entrepreneurs in Serbia and 670 in Montenegro for the last four years. At that occasion SDC (Swiss Cooperation for Development) and HELP signed a contract for 2006 for financing the self-employment in SCG worth 320.000 euros. The contract was signed by Mrs. Carin Salerno, SDC-Country Director and Mr. Timo Stegelmann, Head of Mission of HELP in SCG. At the press conference there were present- representatives of embassies, ministries, local and foreign governmental and non-governmental organizations, mayors and representatives of several municipalities and media representatives. After the press conference HELP organized a cocktail and invited all the parties present to see the exhibition of photographs presenting HELP's clients.
Photo exhibition was opened for public from 24th November till 30th November 2005 in Media Center.

On October 11th, 2005, Leskovac Liberation Day, the municipality
of Leskovac organized a celebration and October diplomas reward. HELP was rewarded for its
contributions in activities of humanitarian character. The same reward was given to HELP
at the October celebration last year.
