Apparatus procurement for Association of dystrophy disabled persons–Serbia 2005

Description: Within this project, HELP procured an apparatus for giving the artificial respiration to the members of the Association of dystrophy-disabled persons in Nis . The members of this Association are mainly children and youth suffering of respiratory organs atrophy due to muscular dystrophy progression, which leads to a significant shortage of their lifetime.Therefore, the NGO HELP – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. with the financial support of the German Government through German Embassy in Belgrade, managed to complete the procurement of the respirator for mechanical ventilation of the patients with accessories, which will make an important impact to the improvement of the quality of the patient's life. Having in mind the suffrage and problems of disabled persons in this region organization HELP expresses its deepest belief's that more practical and sustainable solutions will emerge in the near future by the relevant institutional authorities.
