Miroslava Đakovic is a refugee from Virovitica , Croatia . She is a 32-year-old single parent living with two children and her parents in a small rented house in a village Golubinci near Stara Pazova. In May 2004 she lost her job in the company Milex and their household incomes decreased to 22.5 Euro per member. Therefore, Miroslava has seriously begun to think about starting her own business. Due to the difficult financial situation in Miroslava's household, HELP's grant was seen as the only chance for her to start her own vegetable production. HELP donated her two greenhouses with adequate systems for irrigation and water pump in the total value of 1100 Euro . Miroslava was interested in improving her knowledge in vegetable production so she attended the vocational training organized by HELP – “Growing vegetables in the greenhouses”. Now, Miroslava registered her activity and her monthly household income increased to 53,00 Euro.
