One of the HELP's beneficicary, Jelena Vojinovic from Kraljevo, lives with her mother and sister in a rented house and the only income in the family is her mother's salary of 70 euro. Jelena had a plan to open a beauty parlour but due to the lack of finances she couldn't start her activity.
Jelena saw the opportunity for the realization of her idea within the program «Poverty reduction through the support to start-up businesses and socio-economic integration of refugees and IDPs». Together with her friend Aleksandra Ilic, she applied for HELP program and received the equipment worth 2400 euro. Besides the requested equipment, Jelena and Aleksandra received valuable help from Help Service Center in Kraljevo. They both attended a vocational training for cosmetics services which enabled them to improve their skills and knowledge.
Soon after the opening of the beauty parlour they gained a number of regular customers thanks to the quality of their services and acceptable prices.Their monthly income now covers the expenses for renting, tax fees as well as their salaries.
In future they plan to develop further their activities and improve their knowledge in order to meet the requestes of their customers.
