Help beneficiaries at the 11th ethno food and drink fair in Belgrade

The 11th Ethno Food and Drink Fair, the most important regional review of the representative traditional product producers.

Held in Belgrade from November 23 until 26, 2016, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade, featured over 2000 various food products with 400 participants, including Help and GIZ YEP project’ supported beneficiaries.

Supported within the Help and GIZ YEP projects, at the EHP Fair participated members of the cooperatives Local Development Association Kamenica from Nis, Beekeepers Association “Beli bagrem” from Leskovac, Youth Office Leskovac members, Help supported clients from Svrljig producing forest fruits jam and marmalade, dried herbs, ajvar and mushrooms producers form Pirot, honey and products from honey producers from Zajecar, as well as the Youth Educational Centre OEC/YEC Nis, the group of students from the Secondary school of economics from Nis.

The supported beneficiaries had the opportunity to exhibit their products, establish new contacts with potential suppliers and/or clients, meet complementary fellow producers, learn about different ideas and trends within their respective fields of industry, and present themselves before the fair visitors and other exhibitors.

Within the Fair, a one-day study visit, was organized for the members of the Beekeepers association “Beli bagrem” from Leskovac. The group attended the presentation at the fair and was introduced to the GIZ YEP project potentials, as well as Help projects and activities. The Help stand exhibitors were visited by the previously Help supported cooperatives/associations’ members “Pirotska peglana” from Pirot and “Oblacinska visnja” from Merosina and exchanged the experience of cooperative’s work and associating.
