EU assistance for flood relief in Serbia

As one of five implementing partners of the EU Assistance for Flood Relief in Serbia, Help implemented part of the assistance in Kosjeric, Kraljevo, Lazarevac, Svilajnac, Trstenik, Varvarin with additional activities based on the Programme in Ljig, Kursumlija and Smederevo.

Objectives

The European Union Assistance for Flood Relief in Serbia, a 30 million EUR Programme financed through IPA (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance) 2012, aims at restoration of living conditions in 24 local self - governments in Serbia, the cities and municipalities most affected by the floods in May 2014.

Description

Within the EU funded support Help implemented part of the assistance aimed at the recovery of the local communities hit by the floods through reconstruction, prefabricated houses, furnishing, and revitalisation of income generating activities.

The above mentioned activities Help implemented in Kosjeric, Kraljevo, Lazarevac, Svilajnac, Trstenik and Varvarin. Additional activities based on the Programme, were implemented by building prefabricated houses in Ljig, Kursumlija and Smederevo.
