Help’s info campaign in Leskovac

The first presentation of Help’s project “Increased employability and income generation for vulnerable groups” financed by the Swedish government through Sida, in Leskovac, will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

After signing a cooperation agreement with the City of Leskovac, on October 5, 2022, which envisages cooperation on the project “Increased employability and income generation for vulnerable groups” financed by the Swedish government through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency Sida, Help is starting an info campaign in Leskovac this week.

Two public presentations of the project are planned for the general public, where all interested parties can hear detailed information about the project, procedures and selection criteria, as well as take over the application form.

The presentations will be held on Wednesday, October 12 and Friday, October 21, both starting at 11 AM, in the hall of the Centre for Professional Development in Education, in Leskovac.

All interested, unemployed persons can apply for the in-kind grant. The priority is given to less employable categories of the population – women, youth, people with disabilities, minority groups, rural households, multi-member families, and long-term unemployed people.

In the project’s first phase, which lasts until the end of June 2023, at least 20 micro and small businesses will be supported through self-employment and employment, with equipment, i.e. 20 in-kind grants in an average value of 2,000 EUR, and two in-kind grants of 3,600 EUR.
The support also includes motivation workshops, business and professional tailor-made training based on the needs of the beneficiaries, study visits in Serbia, and business mentoring services.

The project, worth 2,8 million euros, “Increased employability and income generation for vulnerable groups” financed by the Swedish government through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency Sida, and co-financed by the target cities and municipalities, Help is implementing from July 2021 to the end of June 2025 in 16 Serbian cities and municipalities.
The value of the investment during the two one-year phases in Leskovac amounts to 148,000 euros, and the Cities’ participation amounts to 42,732 euros.
