Reconomy on the move in the Western Balkans
Help signed partnership agreement with Semos Education, within Reconomy programme in the Western Balkans
Within the „Reconomy“ programme, financed by the Swedish Government, the organisation Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Serbia Mission has signed the partnership agreement with Semos Education, the computer education centre from North Macedonia on 12 April 2021.
The goal of the partnership is the development of certified IT training sessions on the markets of North Macedonia and Serbia for individual trainees. Semos Education will establish a Career Centre and the Data Department to support the trainees in their career development, as well as map and analyse the IT labour market needs and predictions.
The agreement foresees standardised and certified IT training sessions for at least 400 individuals, primarily youth and women. The trainees will improve their communication, interpersonal and professional skills thus enhancing their employment and self-employment opportunities in the IT market of Serbia and North Macedonia.
Among the planned activities is the creation of a network of employers who can offer mentoring programmes, business internship and employment of the trainees through the Career Centre.
The Data Department will collect and process data to map the perspectives of required occupations on the market within the IT sector. A comprehensive way of targeted data collection, processing and analysis will contribute to the continuous improvement of the offer of certified training, following the needs of the IT and the related labour market in Serbia and the region.
In the coming period, Semos Education will develop tools to manage relationships with trainees and IT companies as potential employers, including marketing activities to promote certified training and trainers. Semos Education is in motion already as the certified training will begin according to the plan and programme from June this year in Serbia.
