The info sessions begin in Leskovac

On Monday, 19 July, an information campaign started in Leskovac for all those interested in starting their business venture within the Help regional project “Socio-economic empowerment of the Western Balkans”

Within Help’s regional „Socio-economic empowerment of the Western Balkans“ project, on Monday, 19 July 2021, an information campaign with the application procedure for in-kind grants for micro and small businesses have officially begun in Leskovac.

Comparing to previous socio-economic empowerment projects, the novelty is an online application form that is available on Help’s website Help/Konkursi

To make the process easier a video tutorial for filling out the application form has been made available on the Help’s YouTube channel

As we are all well aware of the transition period to a fully digitalised world, in addition to the online application, Help has organised five information meetings/sessions in Leskovac in cooperation with the City Administration and the Office for the local economic development, so all interested parties have equal access to the application form and applying procedure.

In compliance with the currently valid epidemiological measures, mandatory protective masks and distance preserving, info sessions – presentations of the programme will be held according to the following schedule:

  • Wednesday, 21 Jul 2021, 10 am – Centar za stručno usavršavanje u obrazovanju, Leskovac

  • Monday, 26 Jul 2021, 10 am – Dom kulture, Brestovac

  • Wednesday, 28 Jul 2021, 10 am – Dom kulture, Grdelica

  • Friday, 30 Jul 2021, 9 am – Dom kulture, Vučje

  • Monday, 2 Aug 2021, 10 am - Centar za stručno usavršavanje u obrazovanju, Leskovac

The invitation is open for all interested persons residing in the territory of the City of Leskovac, who want to start or develop a business. Preference is given to the unemployed, youth, women, people with disabilities, members of national minorities, and other less employable categories of residents, but who have a realistic, viable and sustainable business idea.

Within the project, and through the signed cooperation agreement with the City, at least 40 micro and small businesses will be granted equipment worth on average 2.400,00 EUR for crafts and services. In addition, supported beneficiaries will be provided with mentoring and advisory assistance in the process of establishing and/or expanding business activities, business and professional training through joint action of local partners.

The regional programme „Socio-economic empowerment of the Western Balkans“ 2021-2022 is being implemented with the financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia. The focus of the programme in Serbia is on the economic empowerment of the local population in the cities of Leskovac, Kraljevo and Nis, where at least 80 micro and small businesses will be supported i.e. 40 in Leskovac, 20 in Kraljevo and Nis each.
