Description

Over the years Help has developed a project application methodology combining in-kind grants with business and vocational training. The purpose of this approach is to enable the individuals and communities to develop resilience and become less dependant on the external assistance (like social benefits, need to migrate in pursuit of income and better living conditions). This approach, based on the principle of self-reliance, has been continuously improved in cooperation with the local partners, authorities and other relevant stakeholders.

Main activities implemented within this complex regional programme in Serbia are:

  • Job creation/employment through educational and economic support to micro-businesses
  • Improvement of the treatment programmes in correctional facilities through work engagement and different type of business and vocational training
  • Facilitating reintegration process of prisoners and former prisoners
  • Small-scale projects for local communities and institutes betterment
