  • Target group: Groups at increased risk of social exclusion and poverty: long-term unemployed, woman, youth, rural population, multi-member families, under-educated and minority groups.

Goal

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the poverty reduction, social inclusion, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The specific objective is to provide the vulnerable local population groups with improved access to the labour market and employment.

Description

Economic empowerment of vulnerable groups, especially the groups at increased risk of social exclusion and poverty through employment, self-employment, business and vocational training to increase the possibilities to help them achieve sustainable livelihood and become productive and acknowledged members of society.

Expected outcomes

  • At least 504 individuals economically empowered and their living standards increased by starting new, developing existing sustainable and competitive SMEs (at least 432 in-kind grants worth 2,000 EUR, 36 in-kind grants worth 3,600 EUR, 36 employed in SMEs supported with in-kind grants worth 3,600 EUR)
  • Capacity building of at least 468 individuals through business training sessions
  • Increased productivity, competitiveness, sustainability and employability of at least 140 individuals through tailor-made professional training sessions
  • Improved employment opportunities, personal development and livelihood enhancement of at least 80 individuals who attended 6-month paid internship
  • Increased capacity of employer companies and job creation of at least 40 individuals who completed the internship
  • Improved capacities of 16 local self-governments through knowledge transfer, and enabled to implement future project of similar nature independently.
