Continuation of professional trainings for unemployed in Pirot and Nis
Within the project “Poverty reduction and employment opportunities enhancement of marginalized and vulnerable population groups in Serbia” Help continues to organize professional trainings and education for the unemployed and vulnerable categories of the local population.
Unemployed people, 37 from the National Employment Service in Pirot are attending trainings in IT, beauty treatments, bookkeeping, forklift operators and video surveillance, while 14 young people from foster families Nis, Merosina, Prokuplje and Svrljig are attending professional trainings for ceramists, beauty treatments, carpenters, welders, and tailors. The young people in Nis were selected in cooperation and support of the Centre for foster care and adoption Nis, from October till December 2016.
Additional professional trainings are aimed at improvement of the knowledge and skills of youth, unemployed and their professional development in order to become more competitive at the labour market and enhance the employment opportunities.
Project “Poverty reduction and employment opportunities enhancement of marginalized and vulnerable population groups in Serbia” worth 1.134.739,80 Eur, Help has been implementing with the assistance of the German Government and the targeted cities Nis, Pirot, Smederevo and Vranje. Overall objective of the project is inclusion of the marginalized Roma and other socially vulnerable population groups into the social and economic life and poverty reduction through creation of new jobs, business and vocational trainings, workshops and networking.
