Distribution of hygiene and food parcels to the most vulnerable
Throughout Serbia in 13 cities and municipalities the most vulnerable 325 Roma families receive basic hygiene and food parcels to overcome the coronavirus pandemic.
Within the German development cooperation and the Help project “Support to socio-economic stability in the Western Balkans region 2019-2020” and in cooperation with the SKRUG Liga Roma, 325 most vulnerable families in Serbia in 13 cities and municipalities, received one food and one hygiene parcel to overcome the dire situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
A set of basic and most needed items like flour, oil, yeast, rice, beans, pasta, soap, hand wash soap, toilet paper, shampoo, cleaners, disinfectants, face masks, gloves and water containers, Help provided through the network of Roma associations – hubs in Serbia first week of May through the three main focal points of distribution.
The assistance was delivered through Novi Sad, Nis and Obrenovac, and further distributed to the surrounding cities and municipalities through the network of Roma associations – hubs on the local level in Subotica, Novi Sad, Kikinda, Obrenovac, Smederevo, Kragujevac, Bor, Nis, Leskovac, Surdulica, Vranje, Bujanovac.
