Oxygen flow meters Clinic for Anaesthesia KC Nis
With the support of the FR Germany, Help donated fourteen oxygen flow meters with humidifiers to the Clinic for Anesthesia and Intensive Care of the Clinical Center Nis.
Within the German development cooperation, the organization Help donated 14 oxygen flow meters with a humidifier for the needs of the Clinic for Anesthesia and Intensive Care of the Clinical Center Nis. Following the development of the epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus, especially in the South of Serbia, and the gravity of patients towards the Clinical Center Nis, with the support of the German government, Help continued to aid the Anesthesia Clinics. In a large number of patients being treated for coronavirus, oxygen flow meters are necessary to deliver oxygen from the central supply and are part of basic oxygen support. Procurement of 14 oxygen flow meters with humidifiers for the Clinic for Anesthesia in Nis was completed.
"In the middle of June, we encountered a new peak and a stronger stroke, as well as a larger number of difficult patients who required oxygen therapy, and flow-meters are needed for that. With this donation, we can now help 14 more patients and they will be completely safe because they will not lack equipment and oxygen," said the Director of the Clinic for Anesthesia and Intensive Care of the Nis Clinical Center, Dr Radmilo Janković.
"This is our second donation to this Clinic, and together with this one, the German Government, more precisely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has invested 23,000 euros in the equipment we have donated so far. We had wished the equipment to be used as little as possible, but the second wave started and we decided to help, " said Masa Bubanj, Project Manager.
The procurement was carried out within the part of the approved funds of the project "Support to Socio-Economic Stability in the Western Balkans 2019 - 2020", redirected for a quick response to the COVID19 crisis (Help COVID19 Response).
