Support to the improvement of living conditions of forced migrants and closure of collective centres

The overall objective of the project is to facilitate the integration of forced migrants who chose to stay in Serbia through provision of adequate living conditions.

The specific objective is to support the closure of all remaining collective centres through provision of appropriate residential facilities and improvement of living conditions of the most vulnerable refugees and IDPs.

Goals/Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to facilitate the integration of forced migrants who chose to stay in Serbia through provision of adequate living conditions.

The specific objective is to support the closure of all remaining collective centres through provision of appropriate residential facilities and improvement of living conditions of the most vulnerable refugees and IDPs.

Description

In cooperation with the Commissariat for refugees and migrations of the Republic of Serbia, Help is implementing activities on provision of housing solutions for beneficiaries from the formal and non-formal collective centres in Belgrade, Sjenica, Ub and Vranje for total of 118 families of refugees, internally displaced and domicile poor.

This project is part of a more comprehensive programme funded by the European Union supporting improvement of living conditions of forced migrants – „For a better life” with the total value of 14,2 million euro.

The project „For a better life“ is coherent with the government policies on refugees, IDPs and returnees and fully reflects their core principle – support integration of forced migrants who chose to stay in Serbia and support the sustainable return of those wishing to return to Kosovo.
