An annex to the cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Vladicin Han within the project “Poverty reduction and enhancement of employment opportunities of marginalized and vulnerable population groups with focus on Roma women in Serbia” was signed on October 19, 2016.

This means additional 27 micro and small businesses from Han will be supported by the Sida and the Municipality, with 13 in-kind grants per 1500 and 14 grants per 2400 Euros.

The main goal is integration of marginalized Roma and other socially vulnerable population groups and the reduction of poverty with focus on labour market access alleviation to Roma, women and youth.

The “Poverty reduction and enhancement of employment opportunities of marginalized and vulnerable population groups with focus on Roma women in Serbia” project Help is implementing with the assistance of the Swedish International Development Agency Sida. The project worth 1.820.295,00 EUR is being implemented from May 2014 until August 2017 in Leskovac, Kraljevo, Krusevac, Obrenovac, Pozarevac, Prijepolje, Trstenik, Vladicin Han, Vlasotince and Vranje. Targeted cities and municipalities co-finance the direct costs for purchase of beneficiaries’ equipment.

Since 2014 Help has been cooperating successfully with the Municipality on the implementation of self-employment programs. So far, donor assistance realized by Help in Vladicin Han amounts to over 600.000,00 EUR with 84 beneficiaries of the in-kind grants for micro and small businesses and the ongoing nine prefabricated housing construction within the EU project.
