Public presentation of the research study “Social inclusion of Roma“
Help presented the research study “Social inclusion of Roma men and women with particular regard to the self-employment programme implemented by Help in Serbia”
In cooperation with the Swedish International Development Agency Sida and the Centre for social and applied research Faculty of the political sciences, University in Belgrade, German organization “Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe” presented the research study “Social inclusion of Roma men and women with particular regard to the self-employment programme implemented by Help in Serbia” results in the Media Centre in Belgrade on 16th November 2016.
Within the project “Poverty reduction and enhancement of employment opportunities of marginalized and vulnerable population groups with focus on Roma women in Serbia” that Help has been implementing with the donor assistance of the Swedish International Development Agency Sida, a research study “Social inclusion of Roma men and women in Serbia with particular regard to the self-employment programme implemented by Help in Serbia” was conducted by the Centre for Social and Applied Research, Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade.
The research was carried out from November 2015 – March 2016 with the aim to identify the problems Roma population is facing in the employment process given from the perspective of Roma, employers and project partners, all the part of the systemic environment of the inclusive policy. Furthermore, the research also presents the control tool for the evaluation of the implemented activities and informed decision making and defining future actions for the inclusion of Roma national minority.
At the presentation spoke Mr. Ola Andersson, Counsellor for Development Cooperation, Swedish Embassy to Serbia, and Mr. Klaus Mock, Help Regional Representative for Montenegro and Serbia.
The study research results were presented by Prof. Dr. Milos Besic from the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade.
